Privacy notice

Last updated: May 2026 · Controller: Hydra Estate, Herengracht 142, 1015 BW Amsterdam · CoC 42062654

Hydra Estate attaches great importance to the careful handling of your personal data. This notice sets out which data we collect, why we collect it, how long we retain it and what rights you have. We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. The data we process

We only process data you provide to us yourself through the contact form, by e-mail, by telephone or during an introductory meeting. This includes: first and last name, e-mail address, telephone number, address details, project description and, where relevant for a property or sales mandate, financial or property information.

2. Purpose and legal basis

We use your data to contact you, assess your enquiry, prepare a proposal and, if you instruct us, to perform an agreement. The legal basis is your consent, the performance of an agreement, or a legal obligation (such as the client-identification duty under the Dutch Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (Prevention) Act, Wwft).

3. Sharing with third parties

We do not share your data with third parties unless this is necessary to perform your instruction (for example a civil-law notary, valuer, surveyor or partner agent for Funda publication), or where we are required to do so by law. We conclude a data-processing agreement with any party that processes data on our behalf.

4. Retention

We retain your data no longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Prospect contact details are kept for a maximum of 24 months. Files for completed instructions are retained in line with statutory retention periods, in principle 7 years (tax) and 5 years (Wwft).

5. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Access to files is restricted to staff who need the information for their work.

6. Cookies

Our website uses only functional cookies that are necessary for the site to work properly. We do not place tracking or advertising cookies without your consent.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of your data, and the right to object to processing. To exercise these rights, please write to info@hydra-estate.nl. We will respond within four weeks. If you disagree with our handling of your request, you may file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

8. Changes

We may amend this privacy notice from time to time. The current version is always available on this page.
